The action takes place at the end of the 21st century, a decade after the events of the first part. The plot tells about an expedition to Mars, organized to recover colony ships stolen by the mysterious Outward group. The future of all humanity may depend on the success of this mission, because in the brand's universe, our civilization has almost completely exhausted the Earth's natural resources, which forces frantic attempts to conquer space.
Deliver Us Mars is an extension of the ideas from the first part. The player can choose between FPP and TPP perspectives, and the gameplay focuses on exploration and solving puzzles.
While playing, the player travels around the Red Planet, discovers new places, collects items and solves ingenious puzzles. The gameplay is diversified by occasional arcade challenges and survival elements revolving around trying to survive in a foreign environment.
The game only offers a single-player mode.
Deliver Us Mars presents fully three-dimensional graphics, built on the Unreal engine. The music was again composed by Sander Van Zanten.
