The Blue Light Pilot is another album in the portfolio of the phenomenal group Laboratorium - the legend of Polish jazz-rock. The music of this formation is an eternal experiment, a constant search for new means of expression. The album 'The Blue Light Pilot' is a record of a performance at the Krakow STU Theatre, where Marek Stryszowski enchants us with his excellent saxophone playing, and Janusz Grzywacz experiments with synthesizers and uses a 16-step sequencer for the first time, which adds modern flavors to the band's sound. Another asset of this release is the brilliant performance of Thelonious Monk's "Straight No Chaser", the only cover that the musicians of Laboratorium have ever taken on
