  From Zero is the upcoming 8th studio album from
  American rock band, Linkin Park. It is also the
  first album to feature Dead Sara vocalist Emily
  Armstrong and drummer/producer Colin Brittain as new
  band members.

  ôThe Emptiness Machineö was released as the lead
  single on September 5th, 2024, with ôHeavy Is The
  Crownö being released on September 24, 2024, as the
  second single and League of Legends Worlds 2024
  anthem. The third single, ôOver Each Other,ö was
  released on October 24, 2024.

  The album was first cryptically teased on August 24,
  2024, when Linkin Park featured a clock counting
  down from 100 hours on their website. Upon its
  release, it was noticed that both the live stream
  with the clock and the bandÆs web address featured
  the symbol ôoe,ö also known as a ôslashed O.ö Because
  a slashed O can sometimes be used as a replacement
  for the number 0, some fans pointed out that this
  could be a reference to Xero, the bandÆs original
  name used before Chester Bennington joined in 1999.
  While this was indeed a reference to Xero, it also
  would end up being the first reference to the new
  album name.

  Because the clock was counting down, many watching
  thought new content would be released when it
  reached 0. However, this did not happen, with the
  clock instead glitching and counting back up to 100.
  This puzzled many fans watching, but some noticed
  that the clock glitched when it hit the 9:05 mark.
  Many theorized that 9:05 was referring to the date
  of September 5th, and the band would later confirm
  this on their social media stating ôBe part of
  something. September 5th. LinkinPark.comö That same
  day, LP Underground members received an email
  inviting them to a mysterious event in LA on
  September 5th. This reset of the clock counting up
  from 0 would end up being the second, and most
  direct reference to the album name, as well as
  symbolize the start of a new Linkin Park era.

  When the clock reached 100, a tiny snippet of audio
  was played, which led many to believe new music was
  coming. In addition, Filter News, a Russian
  newsgroup that has been accurate regarding early
  leaks in the past, revealed the name of the first
  single along with the albumÆs artwork. The band
  later confirmed this when the thumbnail to the event
  livestream was changed to match the leaked artwork.
  Further, the band would perform ôThe Emptiness
  Machineö onstage with Emily Armstrong and Colin
  Brittain at the live event and announce the albumÆs
  release on November 15th with a corresponding world
  tour.

  Some fans would be able to preview the full album
  early at official listening parties around the
  world. These events took place in the weeks leading
  up to the albumÆs official release.
