Abathor is a 2D retro-style arcade game produced by Pow Pixel Games and published by JanduSoft. The title was released on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
Pow Pixel Games' production draws some inspiration from "Conan". The action takes place in the mythical Atlantis. Pride brought punishment on humanity: the titular gates are opened, through which hordes of bloodthirsty beasts enter. We play the role of a daredevil (there are four characters to choose from) who tries to face them. His (or her) job is to close the gates of Abathor.
Gameplay - Abathor Abathor is a classic two-dimensional arcade game. We can choose from four playable characters with different parameters, equipment and skills. For example, the barbarian Crantor swings a huge sword and can roll, and Azaes uses spells.
The creators have prepared over 50 levels that take us to various corners of the world. The point is to get from point A to point B, avoiding obstacles, fighting various enemies, and from time to time fighting bosses. We also collect orichalcum, the local currency, for which we can buy one of fourteen power-ups from a traveling merchant.
Abathor can be played solo or with others in co-op. Up to four people can play together at the same time.
