Pogo Puce Stamp Catalog by Walt Kelly CBR

Pogo was a daily comic strip created by cartoonist Walt Kelly, and was syndicated to American newspapers from 1948 until 1975. Set in the Okefenokee Swamp in the southeastern United States, Pogo followed the adventures of its funny animal characters, including the title character, an opossum. The strip was written for both children and adults, with layers of social and political satire targeted to the latter. Some of these comics were collected and republished by Simon and Schuster.

Torrent includes the following:

Pogo Puce Stamp Catalog (Simon & Schuster, 1963) - Reprints selected strips from 1962. Includes a special feature about "Puce Stamps." The explanation below is borrowed from the blog "The Ephemerist."

"In 1962, Pogo cartoonist Walt Kelly made fun of the practice popularised by US supermarket chain Sperry & Hutchinson of giving out bonus stamps with each purchase. These green stamps could later be traded for household goods of all kind, giving customers the (false) idea of getting something for nothing, while at the same time making them spend more."

The archive is .cbr format. So, load with your (comic) book reader of choice, or simply open .cbr as a .rar file, and extract the image files inside.
