A British comedy drama television series based on the 1982 novel of the same name by Sue Townsend, following the life of a boy growing up in Leicester in the 80s. Adrian is a self-proclaimed intellectual who is constantly worrying about his schoolwork, his relationships and the state of the world. He is also a keen observer of the people around him and his diary entries provide a hilarious and insightful look at teenage life.
