Trying to leave behind the stifling and quiet life of a country town, a young woman (Kristen Stewart) decides to join the army hoping to be sent to Iraq, where would contact a new culture. It ends, however, being relocated to Guantanamo, where he faces a routine hatred and abuse. Still, it starts a controversial friendship with one of the prisoners.
