A documentary examining the 'Inter City Firm' or 'ICF' - a core of West Ham football supporters made up of professionals dedicated to the orchestration of organised hooliganism and violence. The documentary went on to inspire Alan Clarke's 'The Firm'.
This is the original Thames documentary complete with "The Warriors" theme in the opening credits and a cameo from Cass Pennant, former "top boy" and now famous author and hooliogist.
This fascinating piece of history is worth watching for the haircuts, clothes (Benetton, Lyle and Scott, Lacoste, to name but a few) and cars alone and was filmed in the run up to, and aftermath of, the Heysel disaster in 1985. It thus marks a watershed in football history and clearly shows how much the modern game has changed as a spectator sport since Heysel.
If your looking for fight scenes then rent a Steven Seagal film but if you are interested in football history and/ or stood on the terraces in the late 70s and early 80s then you will identify with this.
Enjoy and Seed!!
