The Frantics were formed in Billings, Montana in 1965. Having recorded a 45 in 1966 (1,000 copies were released), the guys went on a tour around the country. In 1968, they settled in Santa Fe, New Mexico. In Norman Petty's studio in Clovis, they recorded a good psychedelic album, Relax Your Mind, which was never released on vinyl and was only released on CD in 1994. Then the group ended up in Colorado Springs and finally arrived in Los Angeles in 1969. The last letter, "s", was removed from the name and the album Conception was recorded. In 1971, the Frantics ceased to exist.
