Description : Audacity is a free, easy-to-use sound editor for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux and other operating systems. Audacity can be used to record audio, digitize analog recordings (cassettes, records), edit files in Ogg Vorbis, MP3 and WAV formats, physically edit multiple files (cutting, splicing, mixing), changing the speed and pitch of recordings, and much more. .

Possibilities: Audacity recording can record external audio from a microphone, the OS's built-in mixer, or a Line In channel to which you can connect a cassette recorder, record player, or minidisc player.
