Het levensverhaal van een kleine man die een grote wereldmacht op zijn knieën wist te krijgen en zijn volk door geweldloos verzet naar onafhankelijkheid wist te leiden. Gandhi werd geboren in Zuid-Afrika waar hij als jong advocaat al met succes enkele excessen van de racistische regeringspolitie aan de kaak wist te stellen.
