I downloaded the source file "1080p.BluRay.DTS.x264-PublicHD" and obtained the "BluRay.720p.DTS.x264-CHD" English subtitles from subscene.com. Next, I...
- "Softened" subtitled profanity (bastard --> jerk, damn --> darn, bitch --> wench etc.)
- Used a linear video editor to remove 7 seconds of obscene gestures at the 42:59 mark
- Used Subtitle Edit (by Nikolaj Lynge Olsson) to find and fix various general subtitle issues
- Corrected other commonly-found typos
- Watched the film and made fixes/corrections/rewrites to the subtitles for spelling & grammar
- Re-processed the film using Handbrake to add the subtitles as "soft" subtitles (not burned into the video)
