Encoded the Digimon into high quality MKV h.264 format with English audio, along with English and Spanish Subtitles as well.
I used the Japanese Blu-Ray for the video and USA DVD for the English audio, and subtitles. The version of the movie for the USA DVD release was made up of 3 Japanese movies that were edited into one longer movie by 4Kids. They took random scenes, and frames from all 3 movies and re-arranged the hell out of them. I seriously cannot believe the amount of re-arranging that was done by 4Kids. I painstakingly went through all 3 Japanese movies over, and over, and over, frame by frame, and re-arranged them to match the USA DVD versions video frame for frame. In my opinion, I have never had a more annoying project than this.
For playback all you need is the proper codec or media player if you don't already have it. Combined Community Codec Pack or the K-Lite Codec pack should give you all you need and more to play these back. If you do not wish to install a codec pack, a modern Media Player such as MPC-HC or VLC Media Player should come bundled with everything you need.
