Hello all! Here we have something special. When the DVD first hit of this film, it was badly modified. The zombie voices, and many of the songs were changed. This SUCKED. Any true fan of the film knows the difference. Here we have,the MGM released widescreen DVD image, with the audio from the original HBO/Image LaserDisc of the film. The new 2 disc Blu-ray of the film comes very close to the original release, but falls short still, missing some key songs. This is the way the film should have been released in the first place for all incarnations after the original HBO VHS and LaserDisc of it. The original audio was 2 channel stereo, so you should at least be able to find a decent sound field on your receiver to compensate. Enjoy, and it's party time!
