During a routine trip in space, two passengers are awakened 90 years ahead of schedule due to a malfunction of their cabins. Alone, Jim (Chris Pratt) and Aurora (Jennifer Lawrence) begin to narrow their relationship. Meanwhile, peace is threatened when they discover that the craft is taking a serious risk and that they are the only ones capable of saving the more than five thousand crew members in deep sleep.
