Conor is a 13-year-old boy with many problems in his life. His father is very absent, the mother suffers a terminal cancer, the grandmother is a shrew, and he is mistreated at school by his colleagues. However, every night Conor has the same dream, with a gigantic tree that decides to tell stories to him, in exchange for listening to the stories of the boy. While conversations with the tree have negative consequences in real life, they help Conor escape difficulties through the fantasy world.
