Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg) is a former Marines sniper who walked away from work after a betrayal. Isolated in a remote hideaway in the mountains, Bob is found by retired Colonel Isaac Johnson (Danny Glover). Johnson tells him that the country needs your help since the president's life is at stake and only his long range shooting skills can prevent this threat from materializing. Initially reluctant, Bob takes the job. But soon he discovers that everything is actually a frame sponsored by Johnson.
