In 1951, Marcus (Logan Lerman), a young Jewish man from New Jersey, is one of the newcomers to Winesburg University in Ohio. Among new experiences, Marcus will also suffer repressions and violence in conservative college, where he deals with anti-Semitism and sexual repression. Venue also in which a brief moment his life converges with the brilliant daughter of an ex-student.
