Llewyn Davis ( Oscar Isaac ) is a singer-songwriter who dreams of living from their music . With the guitar in the back, it migrates from one place to the other in New York for 60 years , always living to please the home of friends and other artists . Talented , but without worrying too much about the future , it bothers her friend Jean Berkey ( Carey Mulligan ) who has a relationship with another musician , Jim ( Justin Timberlake ) .
